Aksa Natural Gas Increases Investment Amount by 30.7% in the First Half of 2024 Compared to the Previous Year
Foreks - Aksa Natural Gas is maintaining its industry leadership by increasing investments by 30% in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period last year, expanding its natural gas network length by 13%, and its subscriber count by 11%.
Aksa Natural Gas, which connects over 5 million subscribers in 27 city centers and 306 districts and towns through a natural gas distribution network of 45,000 kilometers that encircles the globe, continued its strong growth in the first half of 2024. Ranked 44th in the Fortune 500 Turkey list, which lists Turkey's largest 500 companies, Aksa Natural Gas has been rated for the third consecutive time by JCR Eurasia Rating, receiving the Long-Term National Rating of “A+ (tr)/(Stable Outlook)” and the Short-Term National Rating of “J1 (tr)/(Stable Outlook)”, both at the highest investment-grade level. Aksa Natural Gas, which steadily and systematically continues its growth since its establishment in 2002 as a subsidiary of Kazancı Holding, has been increasing its investment amount across the country every year to expand its service network.
More than 5 million satisfied subscribers In the first half of 2024, Aksa Natural Gas increased its investment amount by 30.7% year-on-year to reach 1 billion 698 million TL. The natural gas distribution network grew by 13.1% to 45,477 kilometers, and the subscriber count increased by 11% to 5 million 43 thousand people, with the company stating that this growth is achieved by prioritizing customer satisfaction. Additionally, the natural gas distribution value, which was 5.4 billion standard cubic meters in the same period last year, increased by 4.8% to 5.7 billion standard cubic meters in the first half of this year.
The highest consumption per household was recorded in Van Aksa Natural Gas highlighted that the region with the highest household-based consumption in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period the previous year was Van. Van, with a household consumption of 993 cubic meters, was followed by Ağrı with 957 cubic meters and Gümüşhane and Bayburt regions with 861 cubic meters. The Çukurova region, consisting of Adana, Mersin, Hatay, and Osmaniye, recorded the least household consumption with 477 cubic meters. The region that saw the highest increase in household-based consumption value in the first half of 2024 was Şanlıurfa, with a 25.6% increase. According to reports published by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), the average natural gas consumption per household in Turkey in the first six months was 626 cubic meters.
