BİM Opens Its Fourth Logistics Center in Morocco
BIM (BIMAS) has opened its fourth logistics center in Marrakech, adding to its investments in Morocco. Since opening its first store in the country in 2009, BIM has continued to grow without slowing down. With the new center in Marrakech, the company has reached a total of 770 stores and thousands of employees in Morocco, aiming to enhance its logistics capacity in the region. The opening ceremony was attended by Morocco's Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, Turkey's Ambassador to Morocco Mustafa İlker Kılıç, BIM CEO Haluk Dortluoğlu, and BIM representatives in Morocco.
Regional Expansion and Economic Contribution One of the leading companies in the high-discount supermarket segment in Morocco, BIM's new investment plans aim to reach a total of seven logistics centers in the country by 2027. Minister Ryad Mezzour stated that the newly opened logistics center is part of the company's strategy for sustained growth in the region. The center contributes to strengthening competition while increasing the use of local resources.
During the opening ceremony, CEO Haluk Dortluoğlu expressed that their new investments in Marrakech reflect BIM's commitment to Morocco. Dortluoğlu stated that the new logistics center will contribute to the local economy and meet the increasing needs of consumers. The new center is also expected to directly and indirectly provide employment for a thousand people in the regional labor market.
Contributions of the Logistics Center to the Region The new logistics center, constructed on an area of 16,000 square meters, has been launched to meet the logistical needs of Central and Southern Morocco. The center aims to shorten delivery times and reduce logistics costs by improving supply chain processes. All these steps will play a significant role in enhancing consumer satisfaction.
This investment by BIM reaffirms the company's strong commitment to the region and its contributions to economic development. As BIM expands its presence in Morocco, it will continue to respond better to consumer expectations. This strategic step is seen as a move that consolidates BIM's leadership in the Moroccan market.
