European Battery Manufacturer Northvolt Files for Bankruptcy

Northvolt AB has filed for bankruptcy protection in the United States, stating that the struggling battery manufacturer has only one week of cash left in its accounts. The Swedish electric vehicle battery supplier announced that it would seek to restructure under Chapter 11 of the bankruptcy code. It is reported that Northvolt has approximately $30 million in cash and $5.84 billion in debt.
