IKMIB/Pelister: Cosmetic Sector Exports Increased by 3.15% in the First Ten Months
Foreks - One of the world’s most important trade fairs for the cosmetics, personal care, and cleaning products sectors, "Beautyworld Middle East," was held in Dubai from October 28 to 30 this year. Organized for the 19th time by the Istanbul Chemicals and Products Exporters' Association (IKMIB), the fair featured 114 Turkish companies showcasing their latest cosmetics and cleaning products to buyers. Turkish brands celebrated the Republic Day on October 29 with great enthusiasm at the fair, attracting significant attention.
The Beautyworld Middle East 2024 fair, which is held annually for the cosmetics and beauty sector, took place from October 28 to 30, 2024, in Dubai. In the national participation organization, organized by IKMIB for the 19th time, 60 companies along with 54 individual firms participated in the fair.
Leading representatives from Turkey's cosmetics, beauty, and cleaning products sectors, under the leadership of IKMIB, had the opportunity to access significant business opportunities in the international arena. Exporting companies had the chance to promote a wide range of products at the fair, including cosmetics, perfumery, fragrances, skincare, haircare, nail care, raw materials, basic ingredients, natural and organic products, cleaning products, packaging materials, aromatic substances, and accessories. The Turkish stand received intense interest, and Turkish cosmetics firms had the opportunity to strengthen their relationships with existing business partners and establish new collaborations.
The Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Dubai, Onur Şaylan, IKMIB Vice Chairman M. İmer Özer, and Turkey Exporters Assembly (TİM) Deputy Delegate Erdem U. Karabul, along with Dubai trade attachés and consular experts, visited the participating Turkish firms.
Adil Pelister: “Cosmetics sector exports increased by 3.15% in the first ten months”
IKMIB Chairman Adil Pelister expressed that the Beautyworld Middle East is one of the most significant fairs for the cosmetics, personal care, and cleaning products sectors in the Middle East. He stated that they aim to enhance the export potential of the sector by introducing Turkey's innovative products and solutions to the world market. Pelister noted that they organized the national participation for the 19th time at this year's fair, stating, “The Beautyworld Middle East 2024 fair, held with broad participation from Turkey, offers potential collaboration opportunities for industry professionals as the largest cosmetics and beauty fair in the Middle East. Our country is in a net exporter position for cosmetic products. The total export of our cosmetics sector reached 1 billion 711 million dollars with an increase of 3.15% during the January-October period this year. In washing and cleaning preparations, exports amounted to 758 million dollars during the same period. Our cosmetics exports to the United Arab Emirates increased by 18.09%, reaching 79 million dollars this period. Similarly, our exports in washing and cleaning preparations to the United Arab Emirates totaled 7.4 million dollars during this period. As IKMIB, we will continue to support our sector and promote Turkish products in the global market.”
